I just want to brag that Awkward World had its busiest traffic day yesterday, with almost 200 distinct visitors. You guys are actually making this happen for me, which is something I never expected. I started this blog a year ago as a way to keep in touch with old friends when I moved to Chicago, and in that time it’s morphed into a self-sustaining, music-reviewing, unstoppable machine of awesome, fueled by the your visits and Glen Beck’s golden tears. So I just wanted to say thank you, to every visitor who comes across this posting, and especially to the RSS subscribers. Thanks for reading, for sending me your music, for Googling “conor oberst,” “juliette lewis,” and “dead man’s bones” (according to my stat tracker), and for making a hobby into a legitimate enterprise. You guys are amazing.
